Shatrughan Sinha, currently in Delhi for the election results, expressed his surprise over the wedding rumors. He stated, "I haven't discussed my daughter's wedding plans with anyone. As for the question of whether she is getting married, I have no information. I've only learned about it through the media. If Sonakshi and Zaheer decide to share their plans with us, my wife and I will give them our blessings. We always wish her happiness."
The actor-politician emphasized his trust in Sonakshi's decisions, noting that she is an adult capable of making her own choices. "We trust her judgment completely. She would never make an unconstitutional or illegal decision. As a consenting adult, she has the right to make her own decisions," he added.
Shatrughan also shared his enthusiasm for the potential wedding, expressing his desire to participate actively in the celebrations. "Whenever my daughter gets married, I would like to be dancing right in front of the baaraat," he said with a smile.
He acknowledged the curiosity of those around him, explaining, "People close to me have been asking why I am not aware of this while the media seems to be. All I can say is, these days, children don't seek permission from their parents; they just inform them. We are waiting to be informed."

The wedding invite, designed like a magazine cover, boldly declares, "The rumors are true." The celebrations are set to take place at the upscale Bastian restaurant in Mumbai.
