The fifth phase of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 saw a star-studded turnout on Monday, with none other than Bollywood's King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, leading the charge. The "Jawan" actor made headlines not just for his civic duty, but for arriving with his entire family in tow. Sporting a casual blue t-shirt and jeans, Shah Rukh Khan was accompanied by wife Gauri Khan, daughter Suhana, and sons AbRam and Aryan. Gauri looked chic in a white t-shirt and denims, while Suhana dazzled in a lovely blue kurti. Aryan matched his mother’s simplicity in a white t-shirt and jeans. The superstar was seen holding the hands of Suhana and AbRam as they headed towards the polling booth, capturing the hearts of onlookers.

The election day in Mumbai was a celebrity affair, with numerous film industry veterans and stars exercising their democratic rights. Iconic names such as Dharmendra and David Dhawan were spotted, alongside the likes of Farhan Akhtar, Varun Dhawan, and Ranbir Kapoor. Adding to the excitement were soon-to-be parents Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, with Deepika's baby bump subtly visible under her loose shirt.

Ahead of the elections, Shah Rukh Khan took to X (formerly Twitter) to encourage fellow citizens to vote. He passionately wrote, "As responsible Indian citizens, we must exercise our right to vote this Monday in Maharashtra. Let's carry out our duty as Indians and vote keeping our country's best interests in mind. Go forth Promote, our right to Vote."

In Maharashtra, voters in 13 Lok Sabha constituencies, including six in Mumbai, cast their ballots. Among the key BJP candidates were Piyush Goyal, Bharati Pawar (Dindori), and Kapil Patil (Bhiwandi), with prominent lawyer Ujjwal Nikam contesting in Mumbai North Central.

The Election Commission reported that over 8.95 crore voters participated in this phase, including 4.69 crore males, 4.26 crore females, and 5,409 third-gender electors, determining the fate of 695 candidates.

The Khan family's united front at the polls underscored the importance of civic duty, blending Bollywood glamour with the significance of democratic participation.
